Abstract
This paper focuses on cybersecurity concerns facing the deployment of Software Defined Networks (SDN) and Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) in TELECOS Networks. This paper explores the concepts of SDN and NFV along with their benefits to the ICT industry. Leading TELCOS companies' deployment and testing strategies of SDN and NFV are presented. Cybersecurity concerns with some attack scenarios are also discussed. Security measures for SDN and NFV are discussed. A proposed solution for a secure SDN and NFV platform is presented. The method used in this paper is a quantitative method with a questionnaire distributed to one hundred professionals who work in the ICT industry being asked about security issues related to SDN and NFV in TELECOS networks.
