Abstract
Web of Things (WoT) is an effort to utilize the potentiality of the Internet of Things by introducing a platform-neutral environment to identify and connect worldwide physical objects into a unified system. The number of connected smart devices is 11 billion excluding computers and smartphones in 2018 making IoT so WoT is the most talked emerging area of technology. WoT is trying to adapt the existing system i.e internet as the backbone of a new platform-neutral system for Web of Things so all security and privacy issues which are part of the existing system also inherited into the new system with its own security flaws. Existing S &P solutions and technologies are not directly deployable due to a very vast and wide variety of things and interests that are involved in the development of Web of Things. In this paper, various attacks in the context of WoT are identified and further possible associated vulnerabilities are also pointed out at various layers of Web of Things proposed architecture.
