Abstract
Social networking sites allow people to share their information and help to create social contact. Nowadays, it has become an integral part of human life. The first thing any person does just after waking up is checking notifications from various social media platforms they have an account on. Hence, we all can imagine the importance of social networking on human beings. However, sharing information and making contact with the unknown are the key concerns of security in social networks. Now it is very much possible for common men to be tricked into traps by attackers. This paper focuses on different aspects of social networking securities and explains the various categories of online attacks possible on social networking. Moreover, this survey tries to find out the drawbacks and limitations in the literature along with a brief analysis of the security attacks on social networks.
