Abstract

‘Child‟a symbol of innocenceis in a state of predicament due to the malpractice of „child-labor‟ since ages. This paper tends to project the inherent problems related to the system of child-labor from both literally as well as literary point of view with reference to „The Chimney Sweeper‟ poems by William Blake, and thereby suggests some possible remedies with a special emphasis on the physical and psychosocial development of the same.
