Abstract

Reversible Data Hiding (RDH) is a technique by which original cover image can be losslessly recovered after embedded data is extracted. RDH combined with encryption provides more security during secret data transmission. In this paper, we propose a secure Reversible Data hiding technique for hiding multiple data types such as text, image and audio within the color images by using Reserve Room Before Encryption approach and bit-plane embedding method using arithmetic coding. Lifting Wavelet Transform (LWT) is applied to the cover image and space is reserved for data hiding from the detailed coefficient subbands of the LWT decomposition. Secret data is encrypted using hyper-chaotic sequence, which is generated according to the secret key. The proposed method can achieve high embedding capacity, improved security and real reversibility that is cover image and embedded data can be recovered without any error.
