Abstract

This paper puts forward the nonidentical chaotic systems synchronisation using active proportional integral sliding mode control (SMC) and its applications in secure communication and image encryption. Proportional integral (PI) switching surfaces and SMC laws are designed to ensure the stability of sliding surfaces. Required condition for global asymptotic stability is devised using Lyapunov stability theory. Further, the applications of proposed nonidentical chaotic systems synchronisation are presented for secure communication and image encryption via suitable examples. Simulation is carried out in the MATLAB environment and are presented for the effectiveness and verification of the proposed concept.
