Abstract
The 11th Bolivarian Symposium of Exploration in Sub Andean Basins, the main event of the Colombian Association of Petroleum Geologists and Geophysicists, took place in the beautiful city of Cartagena, Colombia between 28 July and 1 August 2012. Members of the leaderships of SEG, AAPG, and EAGE were present and participated actively throughout the week. A total of 1262 participants, representing 19 different countries, benefited from a varied agenda that covered technical and commercial aspects, social activities, student programs, and business development opportunities.
