Abstract

Several innovative key management systems for WSNs have been recently introduced and they include long-lasting networks, improved protection and security, for instance, SHELL and LCOK. But several of these proposals rely heavily on some central nodes (gateways), which present a significant challenge to the stability and sustainability of the whole networks if these nodes become breach. In this paper, we introduced a decentralized key management framework focused on localisation as well as secret exchange such that the vulnerability central node would easily be substituted and the protection standard of the network improved.
