Abstract
The second-order contradirectional coupling of two Love waves in the presence of radiation of bulk elastic waves in the substrate is investigated. Particular attention is paid to the optimizations of the coupling between (a) the two Love waves, (b) the incident Love wave and the radiated bulk elastic wave, and (c) the incident bulk elastic wave and the excited Love waves. An analysis of reciprocity is also included.
