Abstract

We derive the second-order asymptotic expansion of an eigenvalue problem for the Laplace eigenfunction with Dirichlet boundary conditions set in a domain corresponding to two cavities linked by a small iris. Several convergence rates are obtained and illustrated by numerical experiments.
