Abstract

The reactions leading to formation of secondary air pollutants such as atmospheric oxidants, aldehydes and others are now studied rather well. Nitrogen oxides and unsaturated hydrocarbons the dominant fraction of which is emitted by stationary and mobile energy sources are known to be chemical precursors for the majority of secondary products in the atmosphere.
