Abstract

Reflective volume gratings in dichromated gelatin film have been studied under conditions in which secondary holograms are produced, where, during exposure, the holographic film is placed in optical contact with a prism. Optimum reconstruction angles and diffraction efficiencies are determined for the secondary holograms that are recorded as a result of internal reflection.
