Abstract

When the conventional energy storage system adopts the virtual synchronous generator (VSG) technology for primary frequency regulation and voltage regulation control, it can not solve the large frequency and voltage fluctuations of the microgrid in island operation due to the sudden increase and drop of load power or the adjustment of new energy generation power, which may eventually lead to the failure of microgrid from island operation to grid connection operation again. Therefore, secondary frequency and voltage regulation control is proposed to re-establish the active power frequency balance point and reactive power voltage balance point of microgrid system under island operation mode. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy is verified by building a wind, light and storage combined microgrid simulation model on the simulation platform.
