Abstract

The galactic secondary-electron energy spectrum and charge-sign ratio are calculated in the framework of two models involving respectively the galactic disc and the galactic disc + halo as confinement volume for the cosmic-ray charged particles. The expected equilibrium differential energy spectrum and charge composition are given in detail for different values of the confinement time in both models and confronted with the existing experimental information.
