Abstract

We have performed second-order distorted-wave calculations for electron-impact elastic scattering, 2p excitation and 3s excitation of lithium. The second-order results are used to study the importance of polarization, absorption, exchange scattering and continuum channels. These results are compared with experimental measurements and other theoretical calculations.
