Abstract

A critical study is made of a canonic second order band-pass realization using a single operational amplifier in low gain (unity or two) connection. The circuit is suitable for low and medium Q applications and features good stability, wide frequency range of operation and versatility of conversion to a high-pass filter. An all grounded capacitor version of the filter is also given; which is a desirable feature for integrated circuit (IC) implementation. The unity gain configuration presents component minimization over other similar circuits.
