Abstract

Here we report on the 10 times enhancement of nonlinear optical signal coming from layered Cu-based metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) by means of placing of optically resonant silicon nanoparticles on the top of MOFs. These nanoparticles placed on the top of single MOFs allow the optical field localization and enhancement inside the framework due to the generation of Mie-type modes.
