Abstract
We report experimental evidence of Second-harmonic generation (SHG) due to intersubband transitions in GaAs/Al zGa 1-xA8 step quantum wells using a multipass or "waveguide" structure. A SHG conversion efficiency of 3.46 × 10 -4 has been achieved which is one order of magnitude above the value obtained for the Brewster's angle arrangement.
