Abstract

The molecular weight dependence of the second and third virial coefficients, the z-average radius of gyration and the zero-shear intrinsic viscosity was studied using light scattering. For M w higher than 7x10 4 A 3 and z vary as M w 0.6 and M w 1.19 , respectively and the factor g defined by A 3 /A 2 M w increases with increasing M w . The interpenetration function Ψ anf g plotted against the cube of the radius expansion factor are almost superimposed on the respective relations for polystyrene in benzene.
