Abstract

SECDED code is the combinational logic for communication of data between microprocessors and memories which is commonly used in semiconductor systems due to its advantage in implementation. With advances in semiconductor integrated circuit technology, the soft error rate and importance of selecting optimal codes increase. This paper presents SECDED codes and their major expansion theoretical application and gives suggestions for optimization needs.
