Abstract

A few years ago I called one of my updates for this magazine ‘Season of myths and mellow fruitfulness’ with apologies to Keats. At the time I was writing about the myths that had built up around the Early Years Foundation Stage Profile. Sadly these persist, with many more being added. As I am actually writing this looking at some lovely Autumn trees, I am going to use the same quote slightly differently to address some myths that are currently increasingly common. So the Keats variation for this month is ‘Seasons of myths and hollow joylessness’. Again with apologies to Keats.
