Abstract

A study on seasonal incidence of sugarcane internode borer, Chilo sacchariphagus indicus (Kapur) (Crambidae: Lepidoptera) revealed high infestation of C. Sacchariphagus indicus in the sugarcane crop planted in the months of June and July. The correlation studies on the incidence of internode borer with weather parameters showed significant positive relationship with maximum, minimum and mean temperature and sunshine hours. But, there was a significant negative correlation with morning, evening and mean relative humidity and rainfall.
