Abstract

Conotrachelus nenuphar (Herbst) has a small second generation in the Ozarks. Overwintered adults appear in late April; oviposition primarily ill May, and larvae mature and pupate in June and July, First-generation adults emerge in July and early August. They lay a few eggs in late July in peaches affected by brown-rot, and become quiescent in the latter half of August. Second-generation larvae develop in the peach mummies caused by the brown-rot. Most of the larvae mature and pupate in late August. Adults emerge in late September and early October. They enter winter diapause by mid-October.
