Abstract

Seasonal accumulation of mineral nutrients in leaves, peel and stone of Dashehari mango were studied. Fruits were analysed 35 to 95 days after fruit set (DAFS) at 10 days interval. Among the macro nutrients, N was observed more in leaf whereas P, K, Ca and Mg were observed more in peel at the end of sampling period. Fe was observed more in peel while Mn and Cu were more in stone. Similarly, Zn was more in leaf. Studies further revealed that with the advancement of season, N, P, K concentrations decreased while Ca, Mg contents increased in different plant parts. Fe increased in peel while it decreased in leaf and stone with the advancement of fruit maturity. Likewise, Cu and Zn showed a declining trend in leaf and increasing trend in stone parts of mango. Mn concentrations increased in leaf, peel and stone parts of mango. The study indicated the variations in nutrient concentration of different structural parts of Dashehari mango.
