Abstract

Searches for Galactic and extragalactic sources of TeV γ-rays are described using the HEGRA stereoscopic system of imaging atmospheric Cherenkov telescopes with its good angular resolution and γ-hadron separation capability. We present results from recent observations of the interaction region of the Monoceros supernova remnant and the Rosette nebula, from the young open star clusters Berkeley 87 and IC 1805, and the giant radiogalaxies M 87, NGC 1275 and Cygnus A. Upper flux limits with energy thresholds between 0.7 and 1.2 TeV are obtained in the range of 0.5 to 2.5 x 10-12ph.cm-2s-1 for the individual objects.
