Abstract

In some extensions to the Standard Model such as the non-minimal symmetric model (nMSSM), a light CP -odd Higgs boson (A0) can arise, where light here means less than twice the mass of the B meson. The light Higgs boson can be produced via Υ (nS) → γA0, where n = 2, 3. BABAR has searched for evidence for the processes A0 → μ+μ−, A0 → τ+τ−, and, more recently, A0 → hadrons. First the BABAR experiment will be briefly described, then the results from searches of the (charged) leptonic decays of A0 will be highlighted. Afterward, the main result of the search for hadronic decays of the A0 will be presented in detail.
