Abstract

We have searched for isospin-2 hyperon resonances produced in ${K}^{\ensuremath{-}}n$ interactions at 2.11 and 2.65 GeV/c which decay into ${\ensuremath{\Sigma}}^{\ensuremath{-}}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ or ${\ensuremath{\Sigma}}^{\ensuremath{-}}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0}$. We find no evidence for any such state with $M<~2300$ MeV, and obtain a cross-section upper limit of 30 \ensuremath{\mu}b, with 99% confidence level.
