Abstract

In a Fermilab 15-foot bubble-chamber experiment, μ∓π± mass spectra were studied in 8444 neutrino interactions and 1367 antineutrino interactions. No significant narrow mass enhancements were found. A peak near 430 MeV/c2 was observed, but when resolution is taken into account its significance is only ≈1σ and its angular distributions do not show the characteristics expected for a resonance.Received 12 September 1983DOI:https://doi.org/10.1103/PhysRevD.29.1300©1984 American Physical Society
