Abstract

If the world does not make a concerted effort to actively remove carbon dioxide (CO2 ) from the atmosphere, we will be locked into 10,000 years of elevated temperatures. The implementation of a large‐scale carbon capture and storage (CCS) program, however, could stave off the bulk of this warming.
