Abstract

Having as motto the Chico Buarque’s song, Tem mais samba, released in 1964, this paper proposes a reflection on the state of culture that year, especially in regards to popular music, and its repercussion in periodicals of resistance against the military dictatorship, focusing on the Revista Civizilizacao Brasileira. Published between 1965 and 1968 in Brazil, this magazine is considered the first to be released with the explicit goal of resisting the Military Coup of 1964.
