Abstract
The Stockholm International Peace Research Institute held a conference on Space Weapons and International Security at Saltsjobaden on 5–7 July 1985. SIPRI has published a book based on the proceedings: Space Weapons and International Security, edited by Bhupendra Jasani, Oxford University Press, 1987.* Permission has been given by SIPRI for Paper No. 20 to be reprinted slightly abridged in Medicine and War. At the time of this conference, Mr Dubey was the Ambassador of India to the Conference on Disarmament, Geneva. His paper adds a new dimension to the debate on space weaponry.
