Abstract

Prevention of traffic accidents is an ongoing concern of public authorities, especially in fighting against drink-driving. However, everyday reality tells that these efforts is inferior to the expected results. Unfortunately, this regrettable fact has been confirmed by a series of 616 blood-alcohol level measurements performed in our laboratory, according to the prescriptions of security forces and magistrates, in relation to High way Code. Indeed, more than 50 % of motor vehicle drivers were above the legal limit and so they are offenders.
