Abstract
Windows-based SCSTempCal computer program for calculating maximum combustion temperatures (Tmax) attained in SCS reactions was suggested in both English and Russian versions. The program affords for estimating Tmax at four approaches, as well as for modeling SCS reactions by method of successive corrections. Program performance was illustrated on the example of SCS reactions yielding simple and complex oxides. Using the synthesis of α-SiC as an example, we demonstrated the applicability of our program to conventional SHS reactions. The program may turn interesting for researchers, students, graduate students, and production specialists engaged in the problem. SCSTempCal program is available for free as a supplementary file.
