Abstract
1. 1. A case report of scrotal gangrene following a closed operation for a simple hydrocele is presented. 2. 2. The closed operation may not always be performed without complications, especially in the hands of the inexperienced operator. 3. 3. Open operation performed under the best surgical surroundings is the best treatment for a simple hydrocele.
