Abstract

The indigenous taxa of Scrophulariaceae represented in the flora of Egypt were systematically revised. Thisrevealed the presence of 50 species belonging to 16 genera, 8 tribes and 3 sub-families. Kickxia gracilis, K.pseudoscoparia, Scrophularia sinaica, Veronica scardica and V. rubrifolia are new records to the flora of thiscountry.For each species, valid name, synonymes (if any), type, distribution (local and global) and selectedspecimens are given. A key for the genera of the family, keys for species belonging to genera with more than onespecies; and for the infra-specific taxa of polymorphic species are provided
