Abstract

The purpose of this study was to screen fungal extracts for their ability to inhibit acetylcholinesterase (AChE) and butyrylcholinesterase (BChE). Most of the fungi studied were basidiomycetous wood-rotting fungi belonging to the genera Trametes, Phellinus, Pycnoporus, Ganoderma and Piptoporus.
