Abstract

In this work a new method for the determination of sildenafil citrate on integrated three-electrode screen-printed sensor with carbon working and auxiliary electrodes and a silver reference electrode (SPCE) was developed. Differential-pulse voltammetric measurements were carried out in 0.15 mol L−1 acetate buffer of pH = 5.0 ± 0.1. The diffusion-controlled process occurring on the surface of the electrode was examined using cyclic voltammetry. The linear range of the calibration curve of sildenafil citrate is from 2.0 × 10−9 to 2.0 × 10−7 mol L−1. The limits of detection and quantification are 5.9 × 10−10 mol L−1 and 2.0 × 10−9 mol L−1, respectively. The method has been successfully used for the determination of sildenafil citrate in pharmaceutical preparations and samples.
