Abstract

One of the stakes of the massive recycling of scrap for the production of high quality steels is the control of the content of the metallic residual elements coming from scrap. The effect of these impurities on the properties of steels has therefore to be identified and quantified. Ways of limiting their content in the products have also to be determined. These are the objectives of a large multinational research project, carried out with the support of ECSC.
