Abstract
Olive black water was used for SCP production in small scale experiments, using nonsterilized medium without pH control. Concentration of biomass of 18–26 gL−1 and a yield of 0.32 based on initial loss of calcination value were obtained using a Saccharomycopsis lipolitica strain. The biological value of the cell material supplemented with methionine was 64 ± 3.2 as compared with casein, 69.
