Abstract

ALTHOUGH the health services in Scotland are broadly the same as those in England and Wales, they are separately administered by the Scottish Home and Health Department. During a visit to Scotland last summer it was interesting to read of their problems in the Scottish newspapers. There were several familiar topics under discussion at the time. The Western Regional Hospital Board, which covers Glasgow, was appealing to the Government for more money to offset the declining purchasing power of the pound.
