Abstract
Abstract ‘Scott’ is a vigorous and productive strawberry cultivar (Fragaria X ananassa Duch.) with firm, large fruit. Named for Donald H. Scott, former USDA strawberry breeder known internationally for breeding disease-resistant strawberries, this is the latest in a series of cultivars resistant to red stele root rot and bred for culture in the eastern United States by the U. S. Department of Agriculture and the University of Maryland.
