Abstract

In this interview conducted by Hannah Capstick, composer and sound designer Sergio Ronchetti explores the process of creating music for the game Eldest Souls (Fallen Flag Studio, 2021), which was nominated for Best Audio for an Indie Game at the 20th Game Audio Network Guild (GANG) Awards. The interview covers topics including creating the game’s audio during the COVID-19 pandemic, the influence of metal on the score, first experiences of producing audio for a game, initial experiences in the industry, self-directed education, and Ronchetti’s design and career philosophies.
