Abstract

The development in media sector is directly related to developments in any society. In rural India, the information and communication technologies (ICT) are already used to give an immediate and participatory form of administration. Somehow, the strategy has been successful in several areas. In this paper, it is projected to give an integrated approach of ‘g-local’ application of modern technology to disseminate all required information incorporating the indigenous content. In any rural society, the application of e-governance should be bi-directional (citizen to government) interface and a feedback mechanism. The major object of the rural e-governance programme is individual's motivation to collective mobilisation for an integrated rural development.
