Abstract

After the administration to six fasting volunteers of a slow-release theophylline tablet containing [ 99mTc]diethylenetriamine pentaacetic acid (DTPA) as a labelled tracer, absorption data were compared with in vitro dissolution kinetics. The absorption data and the in vitro release kinetics were correlated with total gastro-intestinal tract transit time.
