Abstract

The article deals with the problem of scientific research activity of future specialists in the social sphere. It has been established that scientific research activity is actualized by a number of interrelated factors: socio-economic (exacerbation of the traditional for society social problems and the emergence of new ones, continuous improvement of the legal and regulatory framework), organizational and managerial (development of the system of social protection of the population, technologization of social work), pedagogical (introduction of the research component into the system of professional education). The purpose of the article is to identify the features of scientific research activity as a factor of improvement the quality of professional training of future specialists in the social sphere. Methods of the research: analysis, synthesis, specification, generalization (used for the study of domestic and foreign scientific sources, theoretical concepts, conceptual-terminological apparatus, formulation of author's general conclusions). It has been found out that scientific research activity of the specialist in the social sphere is a special type of intellectual and creative activity, which is formed as a result of functioning of the mechanisms of search activity and is based on advanced research skills and research behavior experience. It has been established that the future professionals must have the following research skills: methodological (to analyze theoretical phenomena, to generalize the research problem, to apply theoretical knowledge in practice, to find a scientific solution to the problem), methodical (to carry out an experiment, to use methods of scientific research, to build a system of operations), technical (to use bibliographic and other catalogs, to illustrate tables, diagrams, to cite literature, to draw up research work). It has been substantiated that in the national educational practice scientific research preparation is being implemented on the basis of systemic, culturological, personal-activity, axiological, context approaches. The most common forms of learning are theoretical (lectures, seminars, consultations) and practical (laboratory, practical classes, preparation of thesis, practice, conference, competition of scientific works, olympiad). Leading role in the process of scientific research preparation belongs to independent work, which involves preparing of essays, writing course papers, bachelor's and diploma thesis, performing the research tasks.
