Abstract

This study aims to establish a model for integrating scientific inquiry and religious practice at Islamic religious universities such as UIN Alauddin Makassar. This study is an example of a descriptive type of field research using qualitative research tools. A factual and methodical summary of occurrences and events about a phenomenon's elements, properties, and interactions is provided by qualitative research. This research's findings indicate that the integration model used at UIN Alauddin Makassar is an interconnection integration model. Specifically, this model involves the integration of religion and general sciences via the idea of religious values. Students are expected to understand religious principles, wisdom and nature passages, and wise eloquence scriptures. Integration of scientific principles can also be seen in education and classroom instruction. This research recommendation is the need for all components of UIN Alauddin Makassar to refer to the guidelines for scientific integration so that it is more implemented, practical, straightforward, and firmly follows what is stated in the tri dharma of higher education. In addition, it is also necessary to organize human resources professionals and position descriptions according to the field of expertise in realizing the success of scientific integration.
