Abstract

On June 18–28, 2022, as part of the implementation of the final stage of the research project supported by RFBR (grant No. 20-010-00924) “Socio-economic stability and demographic situation of single-industry towns in the Ural Federal District (Ural-Siberian macroregion): simulation of development scenarios”, a research team from the Federal Center for Theoretical and Applied Sociology of the Russian Academy of Sciences conducted a scientific expedition to the single-industry cities of the Sverdlovsk Region and the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug - Yugra. The expedition was attended by V. A. Bezverbny (project lead), Candidate of Economics, Leading Researcher, Deputy Director for Strategic Development and Personnel Policy, Head Department for Geo-Urban Studies and Spatial Demography at the IDR FCTAS RAS; I. A. Seleznev, Candidate of Sociology, Docent, Leading Researcher; K. A. Chernyshev, Candidate of Geography, Docent, Leading Researcher; and T. R. Miryazov, Junior Researcher at the Institute.
