Abstract

The importance and procedural approach are presented for prolonging the safe operating life of petrochemical equipment, operated for a long time in hydrogen sulfide containing media, based on the choice and successive application of diagnostic methods, evaluation of strength, life, reliability, risk, viability and safety, using criteria for the probability of breakdown and the risk of failure. Examples are presented for estimating damage, strength, life, reliability, viability and risk, performed with prolongation of the safe operating life of real equipment.
