Abstract

The subject of consideration is a scientific article on archeology and the definition of its specific features, in particular, the article analyzes communication in the scientific field, in which two forms coexist: the form of introducing information and the form of readers’ engagement. We are talking about the types of presentation of information, that is, about the presentative type, which in its orientation does not imply the author's expression of his attitude to the presented, and about the expositive type, in which the description of the discovered object can be associated with explication, interpretation and value judgments. The study expands the idea of the laws of text construction and the peculiarities of their functioning in this area. The obtained results of the study of the language functioning in the process of performing its communicative function are used in the special courses, in the process of training specialists in the field of archeology.
