Abstract
At each stage of the development of the Moscow University for the Humanities, its scientifi c research was determined by the challenges of the time and had a high degree of social and scientifi c demand, which was refl ected in the priority areas approved by the order of the rector. The university provides training in a variety of specialties and areas: economics, management, applied computer science, psychology, pedagogy, law, sociology, international relations, regional studies, journalism, advertising, tourism, hotel management, design, cultural studies, acting and vocalism; therefore, the scientifi c interests of teachers and scientists cover a signifi cant range of those tasks that are a priority for the development of the country. The article discusses priority scientific directions at the Moscow University for the Humanities and the principles of scientific work of the university.
